1996 & Cakewalk

Last night was an incredible dream.

I was with a friend of mine and this guy who was 87 looked like he was in his 40s. Very handsome man and I felt wrong to thing he was so attractive at such an old age when I'm only 27. So my friend and I hung out with this guy and he was interesting. He acted like he never grew from the age of 21, very destructive personality.
My friend and I left him, but I still insisted on visiting him.
So I decided to hop on a train. Which took me back to 1996. The lady I bought my ticket from asked for my I.D. In 1996 I was 13 years old. So seeing a 27 year old with an I.D. that said I was 13, the lady made me call my parents for permission to ride the train. So I called my parents, who I guess live in California present time in my dream and go a voicemail of a guy who lived there in 1996. I then called my parents home number of where they lived in 1996 in Mora. Got my mom and she said it was okay for me to travel the train.
I rode the train a few times. The last time I rode it was with Jon. I asked him if he had to get permission to ride the train, and they didn't make him call his parents. I woke up.

This is week is National Library Week.
Today is the cCkewalk and I made two small cheesecake to give away.
So, McNallians, join us for a Cakewalk and win free baked stuff.

Dirt??

MMMMMMM dirt (drool)

So upon request of my wonderful student worker, Darak, I'm going to make a Dirt Cup no bake cheesecake. It's going to be wonderful!!

Oreo cookie crust
Layer of chocolate pudding filling
Layer of Oreo cookie cheesecake filling
Another layer of chocolate pudding filling
Topped with Oreo cookie crumbles and gummy worms

I happily welcome many many more suggestions. Because of the weather reaching to nice levels of vitamin D I would love nice summer ingredients. For instance, green tea or sweet cucumber & cantaloupe (ooh that's new one & sounds lovely!)

A side note...this blog might turn into the 'other things', summer isn't exactly cheesecake season, so I'll try not to bore you and write some of my crazy ass dreams I have daily. :)

Mango No-Bake w/coconut milk

Aaaaaalright friends. Here's what on the list for today.

I'm going to do a Mango no-bake cheesecake topped with coconut milk. I was inspired by a recent trip to Sawatdee. I would like to add sticky rice in there to make it even more amazing, but I think this will do for this round of experimentation. I'm pretty pumped for it!

A side note idea:
Dirt Cup cheesecake: Oreo cookie crust with a milk chocolate pudding base. Topped with homemade chocolate chip whipped cream and gummy worms.

On a side note, when the hell is this snow going to stop? I'm pretty sure it's a stupid infinite rain cloud of the Mpls/St. paul area. Guess I can't complain, I got a snow day out of it. :)

Here's a little story of my day:

Because my apartment complex hasn't plowed any of it's private lots of roadways. I did this:
Freezing/sweating my butt off for 45 mins, shoveling a spot for my little Yaris, some jerk in a huge 4x4 diesel truck idled thinking I was doing it for him. I gave him the hell no head shake, put my shovel in the spot, he drove away. Also some creapster is 'stalled' in the parking lot smoking for the past 3 hours asking for rides to the gas station even when it's two blocks away, cops showed up too. Interesting day.
But I'm still in an incredible mood. :-)

Enjoy your snow day if you had one as well!!

Cream Cheese Pastry

I made my first coffee cake pastry thing. Four loaves of amazingness!!! It's an on my gosh kind of tasty pastry.
I will be sure to make this one again soon and share it with my friends. :-)

Oh and I've turned in my Grad school app, waiting for approval of my degree and acceptance. Time to hope and pray. What happens happens, life has it's crazy ways, but it's always fun.
